From open innovation to open government
Governments are opening up data and code but what does that mean in regards to their innovation efforts to improve public services? This panel wants to discuss how opening up innovation processes together with open services, tools and data can potentially accelerate innovation. This is an open debate with the audience.

Bart Rosseau is the Chief Data Officer of the city Ghent. He strongly believes in a global approach to use ICT as leverage for organisational and policy innovation, including open data, Linked Open Data, Standardisation, but most of all, Common Sense.

He is a social worker with a heart for communication and a brain for civic technology. Trying to bring both aspects together in a sustainable way through the different open communities. If you have questions about foresight, civic innovation, open data or open knowledge, Pieter-Jan is always up for a coffee.

Ivonne is an Open Data enthusiast and currently the Strategic Advisor Technology and Society the Province of Zuid-Holland. Next to that, she is a Board member at Codefornl and was Head of Programme at Waag. She believes in a society where technology is democratized in such a way that it enables us to be more informed, involved and empowered; so we can improve our own quality of life and take control of our own environment.
